What stayed with me most wasn’t simply the murders. It was the atmosphere. Canada often appears peaceful from afar, yet Cardinal reminds us that darkness exists everywhere, even in places surrounded by extraordinary beauty.
It is slow, intelligent and emotionally grounded—exactly the kind of crime drama that allows both its characters and its landscape to breathe.
