*Reina Roja* gives us another extraordinary female mind at the centre of European crime drama, but Antonia Scott is much more than her intelligence. Her partnership with Jon, her emotional intensity and the force of the Spanish language make the series feel completely its own. This is one to watch in the original language — because sometimes frustration, anger and pain live as much in the voice as in the words.
